Welcome New Life Academy Students!
This page contains information that is specific to your school calendar, policies, and concert dates.
LESSON LENGTH: 30 minutes, once a week
SCHOOL YEAR: (September 3, 2024 through May 22, 2025)
1) Each student has a committed lesson time for the entire school year.
2) Each lesson is billable, even if the student does not attend.
3) Please see the "Calendar" tab on your portal for any holidays or days off during the school year.
SUMMER: (June 10, 2024 through August 29, 2024)
1) Flexible schedule; students choose which weeks they are available at the beginning of the summer
2) Students are only charged for scheduled lessons.
3) Lesson times may vary to accommodate summer activities.
CANCELLING / RESCHEDULING A LESSON:
1) Login to your "Parent Portal" from my website.
2) Go to the "Calendar" and click on the lesson you need to cancel.
3) After you have cancelled the lesson, you will have a make-up lesson credit in the system.
4) Look for the make-up days on the calendar, Choose an "Open" lesson and reserve it by entering the student information and clicking "Save".
5) To reschedule a lesson during the school day, contact me by text or email.
MISSED LESSON POLICY:

1) School Closure due to weather

1) Max of 1 make-up credit accumulated at a time. You must use the make-up credit before being eligible for another.
2) Parent/Student is responsible for rescheduling any make-up lesson credits by the end of the school year.
3) Unused make-up credits will expire at the end of the school year.
FEES:
1) $28 per lesson. School year lessons will be charged at a set monthly fee for each family.
(Determined by number of lessons scheduled during the school year and divided into 9 equal payments)
2) Books, event registrations, and other fees will be added to invoices as needed.
3) $10 late fee will be added to your account for any payments received after the 10th of each month.
PAYING FOR LESSONS:
1) Invoices will be sent by email on the 1st of each month.
2) Payments due by the 1st lesson each month. A $10 late fee will be added for payments received after the 10th of the month.

ZELLE (online): Use your bank's website or app to send payment directly to: holstdeanna@gmail.com
CHECK or CASH: bring to the 1st lesson of the month. Make check out to "Deanna Holst"
4) Payment Options with a Fee:
ACH deposit (online): Set up this option in your parent portal. Then click on "pay invoice" (1.0 % fee added toyour payment)
CREDIT CARD (online): Set up this option in your parent portal. Then click on "pay invoice" (3.2% fee added to your payment)

CONCERTS: We will have 3 concert dates during the 2023-2024 School Year.

TERMINATING LESSONS:
1) One month written notice is required to terminate lessons (email, text, or written note).
2) Lesson fees must be paid during the final month, regardless of if lessons are attended or not.
